Snaps from setting up the show of photographs from the Lorraine Hotel Saturday at Yards. Images, paintings and mixed media pieces were displayed on kiosks constructed out of doors from the hotel.

From left: GAC's image in vintage hotel frame; improvised gallery lighting, pre-installation; GAC self p in one of the Soul Purl77 pieces; Beyonce Knowles it all's prints on Lorraine Hotel coat hangers; Polaroid transfers from Peggy Hartzel; and Candace's photo of room 330 before the Bill Clinton pictures clipped out of the newspaper were ripped off the wall.

Manon wanted a light at the end of the hall.

Ingredients:

Broken bungee cord
Binder Clip
Coloured insulated wire
Ear-ring hooks (1 pkg from the Dollar-It)
Broken glass (from a blue glass, an amber glass, broken car window, broken bus shelter window, broken picture frame, and a broken beer bottle.)

I wish I'd gotten a better picture of this. This could be a great "powers of two" piece of "art". Start with the largest-sized clip. Clip two of the next-largest size clip to the handles. Keep repeating as much as possible. There are a few clips here that break the rule; they needed a home. This was one of the things I most regretted taking down when I left that domicile.

"In the year 2009, the horde of binder clips that Clint kept systematically arranged in his cube developed self awareness...their metallic frames moved as one vindictive mass towards the man who had unknowingly kept them in bondage for so long." -Parthena
