OK so today's theme was Team Sport Zone. After finishing up volleyball tonight, i was rummaging around in one of the school's changerooms (yeah, what you gonna do about it!?) and I found a box full of old helmets. This pic turned out the best but the actual scene is me just in my underarmour boxers and the helmet.

Saturday, November 5 was the 3.1 mile walk fundraiser for Tampa Bay area - American Heart Association! I attended, walked, tweeted and photographed the event. Even had a Black Staff Shirt courtesy of @HeartTampaBay with wonderful instructions to go do what you best …and that is tweet and cover the back story!

I found and tweeted three great stories! The first was a heart transplant survivor who was walking the route. Second was a mother - daughter reunion which showed the perseverance of a daughter who was given up for adoption to find her mother. Third, was a young lady I walked with for a bit who was new to the area.

On twitter the event used the hashtag #TBHeartWalk and tweet as @HeartTampaBay and on Facebook they are www.facebook.com/AHATampaBay.

so i took a pic of my old threadbare who dat shirt i found in a thirft store probably about a decade ago. i'm not sure exactly when the shirt was made, but my guess is that it's from the early 90s.

anyways, you'll notice the TM symbol next to the saints' fleur de lis and next to the phrase "who dat?"

and in tiny little letters down below the design, it says:

new orleans saints and fleur de lis are registered trademarks of the teams indicated.

who dat? is a trademark of who dat, inc?

so this backs up the who dat, inc? guys, who said the nfl/saints ceded legal claim to "who dat?" to them.

it's not a great pic, cuz the glare is wicked off the metallic paint and my cell phone cam ain't grand, but you get the idea. i have 4 of these ice cream shop style metal chairs that i trash picked from down the street. they've been sitting in my shed for a few months, waiting for me to have an epiphany about what to do with them. and then it hit me yesterday.

they are drying right now and i'm gonna laquer the hell out of 'em so hopefully the paint won't flake off and they will be durable for outdoors. all the paint is enamel, so it should be good. i'll post a final pic when they are done. i'll be selling them on craigslist - not sure for how much but i gots bills to pay so hopefully something substantial. what do you think?
