View of the Madejski Stadium in Reading, England. This stadium is home to both the Reading Football Club and the London Irish Rugby Club. I took this picture early in the morning with a low sun on the rise behind me. I liked the view of the white stadium with the autumn leaves all around.
Marines present the colors to Chicago

Marines from Recruiting Substation Schaumburg, Marine Corps Recruiting Station Chicago, present the colors at the Chicago Slaughter-Wisconsin Wolfpack Continental Indoor Football league game Saturday, at Hoffman Estates, Ill. The Chicago Slaughter hosted the Marines as part of the inaugural Marine Week Chicago, a weeklong event which provided an opportunity for Chicago citizens to meet the men and women of the Marine Corps and learn about its history, traditions and value to the nation.

Potenza Football Soccer Team - 1977 1978

This was a soccer team called Potenza that paid me a nominal fee to take pictures for them. Unfortunately this meant giving them all the negatives that I don't have to scan now. This is a scanned print that was printed out of focus in the darkroom that should have been discarded over 30 years ago but through the miracle of the digital age it was sharpened and tweaked, and cleaned up quite a bit and as best as I could. I knew these guys from The Three Brother's Grocery store. Their team clubhouse was in the back. Mike #10 , Mario #2 and Carmello #3 are the ones I most remember. They were a great bunch of guys and practically like family as they knew our family pretty well. I remember us all packed in a bouncing, rambling vans on our way out the the various fields at all sorts of distances.

P.S. Yes, that little tyke represents the next generation that will love the sport. That boy is probably
32 years old now. God, I feel old. I can't play soccer, but I have a tremendous admiration for the skill that it takes to play it well. Italia, Numero Uno !!!!
